United Way of Central Indiana now accepting nominations for LIVE UNITED Volunteer of the Year Awards
Award recipients to be recognized for contributions in advancing United Way’s community impact work through local nonprofit volunteerism
United Way of Central Indiana is now accepting nominations for outstanding volunteers whose contributions to nonprofits in Central Indiana have advanced United Way’s community impact work during the last year. Individuals will be honored for the LIVE UNITED Volunteer of the Year Awards in each of the following categories: Education Impact, Income Stability Impact, Health Impact, Basic Needs Impact and Diversity Advocate.
“The work United Way of Central Indiana does would not be possible without dedicated and passionate volunteers,” said Ann D. Murtlow, president and CEO of UWCI. “We know volunteers play a critical role in advancing our community impact work and mission. It’s an honor to be able to recognize the people who donate so much of their time and talent to making our community stronger.”
Award recipients will be selected by a review committee which will evaluate each nominee based on current and previous volunteer responsibilities; commitment of time to the organizations and hours of service; impact of their contributions; and how their work advances United Way’s community impact work in the specific priority. A person may be nominated for up to two categories and must have volunteered with the nonprofit for at least one full year to be considered.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, August 5. Award recipients will be honored on Tuesday, September 6 at a private reception at the IMA. To nominate an outstanding volunteer, click here.
