Accredited Community Organizations

Community organizations who achieve accreditation with United Way of Central Indiana join a powerful network of nonprofit partners tackling the most complex issues in our community.

An accredited organization is a community 501(c)3 non-profit whose work is aligned with the outcomes United Way is seeking to achieve in basic needs, early care and learning, economic mobility, and safe and affordable housing. Organizations are evaluated by a team of volunteer leaders, board members and United Way staff on a nonprofit’s financial health, governance, strategy and innovation, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and in responsiveness to community need.

Accreditation for 2024 is open from January 22-February 23 for organizations in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Morgan and Putnam counties and in select zip codes in Marion County.
