United Way and the Indy Chamber Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with VolunteerCentralIndiana.org

INDIANAPOLIS – United Way of Central Indiana and the Indy Chamber have merged their volunteerism efforts to launch VolunteerCentralIndiana.org, an innovative tool designed to connect individuals and families to volunteer opportunities, just in time for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 20.
VolunteerCentralIndiana.org receives more than 1,000 web hits per month of new and returning volunteers looking for opportunities in the community and has secured over 600 active volunteers through its portal.
“The partnership for the launch of this portal couldn’t have happened at a better time,” said Peter Hanscom, vice president of marketing for United Way. “We’re thrilled to be working so closely with the Chamber to share this resource before a day that truly recognizes and embraces community impact for everyone in our region.”
Ross Raifsnider, vice president of membership sales for the Indy Chamber, shares United Way’s excitement for providing a tool to the public that keeps them plugged into Central Indiana and connected to the people and places that matter most.
“We take pride in finding new ways to improve our member experience at the Indy Chamber,” notes Raifsnider. “Partnering with United Way through this new offering not only allows our non-profit members to reach a much larger audience of potential volunteers, but further strengthens a relationship between two great organizations working to ensure everyone in our community has the opportunity to succeed. It’s truly a win-win.”
Find your volunteer opportunity by visiting VolunteerCentralIndiana.org today.
