A Chance for Career Success

 “Nobody wants to hire you once you’re involved with the criminal justice system,” says Jeremiah Davis. As he was beginning to lose faith, he found opportunity for career success at Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana, a United Way of Central Indiana partner agency. “I didn’t know a lot about Goodwill, but they were the first company to give me a chance, and I promised that I wouldn’t waste it." 

 Jeremiah’s dedication has been rewarded with several promotions and his superior leadership skills earned him the role of Southside Outlet Manager. In this position, he is currently responsible for more than 80 employees – 75% of whom face a barrier to employment including criminal history, disability or lack of a high school diploma. Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana gives these workers the ability to set new goals and achieve them, just like Jeremiah did.
