A Message from the Tocqueville Society Chair

As we wrap up the 100th Anniversary of United Way of Central Indiana and celebrate a memorable year. It is appropriate to give thanks and cherish the time, talent and treasure our members and fellow Central Indiana residents committed to the cause of United Way over the past year. On behalf of the Tocqueville Society Council, I want to personally thank each of you as members of the Tocqueville Society for your dedication and generosity to the greater good of Central Indiana. In 2018, I have the distinct honor and am proud to serve as the Chair of the Tocqueville Society Council and have the privilege of representing the over 500 members of the Tocqueville Society. Along with my fellow Council members, it is our goal in the 101st year to increase Tocqueville Society engagement, and identify and grow new Society members to continue the momentum as well as meet and exceed our goals coming off of and out of the 100th Anniversary. As a Council, we believe a larger and more engaged Tocqueville Society will help United Way serve more people and pursue and fulfill its goals of making Central Indiana a community where children, individuals and families thrive. However, our Council is only as strong as the Society as a whole and it will be incumbent on all of us to work together to reignite the passion for the Tocqueville Society and generate the interest and value in new membership. In conclusion, I again want to personally thank each one of you for caring about your community and for the generous support you have provided for years, and in some cases, decades. On behalf of the Tocqueville Society Council, I encourage and hope each of you will consider identifying or finding a friend or colleague to join our Society and help us make Central Indiana the best it can be. As always, thank you for your continued support, leadership and partnership in building a strong foundation for United Way of Central Indiana, our community and the pursuit of a better future for all of us.Your Friend in Service,Josh B.
